GENERAL PROVISIONS AND DEFINITIONS
These Terms and Conditions for use of websites relating to the 2016 Stress and Anxiety Research Society conference ("Conference"), organized by the Stress and Anxiety Research Society, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb and the Centre for Clinical Psychology ("Organizers"), regulate the use of services by the Users.
Users are persons registering for the Conference and paying the conference fee and other services related to the Conference.
All payments by card will be handled by the Centre for Clinical Psychology, having its location at Slovenska 13, Zagreb, Croatia, registration number 21003830 in the Croatian Association Registry. All payments by bank transfer will be handled by Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Ivana Lucica 3, Zagreb, Croatia. All correspondence should be addressed to star2016@ffzg.hr.
By accessing the websites through appropriate technical means of access and using the website content and services, all users shall comply with these Terms and Conditions and agree that the provisions of these Terms and Conditions shall apply to them.
PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION
Prior to access to the website content, the users shall provide their personal data. By providing their personal data, the users agree to the terms of use of personal data provided for by these Terms and Conditions, pursuant to which certain persons are given the right to collect, use, process and transfer personal data necessary for website use.
Organizers will keep personal data only for as long as it is necessary for the purposes provided for by these Terms and Conditions. After such time, all personal data will be destroyed, deleted or made anonymous in a manner securing the maintenance of personal data protection.
Organizers will not disclose personal data to third parties.
Organizers will ensure that personal data are kept in a safe location (including reasonable administrative, technical and physical protection in order to prevent unauthorised use, access, disclosure, copying or change of personal data), to which only authorised persons will have access.
Organizers will allow users to access their personal data in the Organizer's possession in order to ensure that the personal data are correct, complete and up-to-date.
If users should have any questions related to the use of personal data, they may contact the Organizers directly.
If users should request the deletion of their personal data, Organizers will remove such data. However, by doing so, users agree that they will be denied access to certain website content. When providing personal data, users guarantee that they are complete, true, correct and up-to-date.
PRICES FOR SERVICES THROUGH CONFERENCE WEBSITES
All expressed prices include VAT. For payments by card transaction fees are included in the price. Bank transfer charges are the responsibility of the payer. There are no shipping fees.
All payments will be effected in Croatian currency. The amount for which your credit card account will be charged is obtained through the conversion of the price in Euro into Croatian Kuna, according to the current exchange rate of the Croatian National Bank. When charging to your credit card, the same amount is converted into your local currency according to the exchange rate of the credit card associations. As a result of this conversion, there is a possibility of a slight difference from the original price stated on our website.
PRODUCT PAYMENT METHODS USING CONFERENCE WEBSITES
Users may pay the membership fee
- by credit and debit cards,
- by bank transfer.
Hrvatski Telekom's PayWay uses state-of-the-art security methods and procedures allowing for secure payment over the Internet. Our priority is data security throughout the whole process of payment by credit cards, i.e. debit cards in Internet shops. Data security on these pages is provided by means of the latest, proven data encryption methods, which are improved on a regular basis in accordance with the current technological achievements and with the requirements of the payment industry standards.
Sensitive data, such as, for example, card numbers, are exchanged between PayWay, which is used to accept payment cards online, and authorisation systems of banks (credit card companies) by virtue of a private network, which provides for protection against unauthorised access to data. In its environment, PayWay provides for full protection of payer’s data, thus ensuring that each customer experiences his/her Internet payment as safe and reliable.
Payment confirmation will be sent to the user via e-mail within one day. All services for which the user has received payment confirmation will be consumable for the user at the Conference.
The user has the right to contract cancellation in accordance to Article 45 of the Consumer Protection Act. Refund requests are individually considered and authorised by the Organizers. Notification of cancellation must be made in writing to the conference secretariat. Cancellation of registration will be accepted until the 1st of June, 2016, up until which time 70% of the total amount will be refunded. For cancellations after the 1st of June, 2016, no refund will be made. All refunds will be processed after the Congress.
AMENDMENTS TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND OTHER PROVISONS
The Organizers reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions without prior notice. The applicable Terms and Conditions will be published on the Conference website.
All disputes that may arise from these Terms and Conditions will be settled before a competent court of Zagreb.
